FEBRUARY 17th & 18th, 2018

Motorama U.S. Scale Trials Championships Hosted by RECON G

Radio Control Scale Trials will test a driver's ability and their vehicles capability to navigate through a series of gates over a variety of terrain and performing special driving tasks. A U.S Mens and Womens Scale Trials Champion will be crowned in each class. Each Driver will have up to 3 attempts to turn in their best score. The top 20 scores from Friday and Saturday will advance to the Finals on Sunday.

Special Skill Sections may include a sled pull, mud pit, timed trial section, & side by side offroad drag racing.

 

Classes:

ST Class -  Tire size not to exceed 4.25in / 107mm and must be a licensed scale tire replicated after a full size tire. Wheel size may be 1.55, 1.7, or 1.9.  All vehicles are required to have a driver and 3D interior, plus all the required scale items. Tires must be covered a minimum of 50% by the body/fender flares.

 

Open Class - Tire size not to exceed 4.75in / 120mm. Tires must be a licensed tire replicated after a full size tire. Wheel size not to exceed 1.9 inches.  All vehicles are required to have a driver. Interiors can be 2D or 3D, plus all the required scale items. Tires may stick out past the body/fender flares.

 

Extreme Scale Class - Tire size not to exceed 4.75in or 120mm. Wheel size not to exceed 1.9. Tires may be licensed or a scale replica of a full size tire. No comp tires or cut-n-shut tires. Siping and/or removing lugs is approved. Vehicles must have a driver and cockpit. The only required scale items for this class are a fire extinguisher and cow bell.

 

Unlimited Buggy Class - Tire size not to exceed 4.75in or 120mm. Wheel size not to exceed 1.9. Tires may be licensed or a scale replica of a full size tire. No comp tires or cut-n-shut tires. Vehicles must be a full tube chassis or tubed off of frame rails. Vehicles must have a driver and cockpit. The only required scale items for this class are a fire extinguisher and cow bell.

 

Required Scale Items for ST & Open Class.
Side Mirrors or Driver side mirror & rear view mirror.
Windshield wipers. Stickers or plastic are ok.
A spare tire.
A cooler.
A jack.
A gas can.
A first aid kit.

Classes are limited to 100 vehicles per class.

Show & Shine categories are “Best in Show”, “Most Trail Ready”, Best Buggy, & Best Theme.

The top 20 Drivers earning the most combined points out of all the disciplines will advance to the Finals on Sunday. The Drivers points will reset and the driver with the most points in each class at the end of Sundays round will be crowned the 2018 US RC Scale Trials Champion.

Drivers must bring their own tables & chairs.
Lipo Batteries must be charged in a lipo bag.

 

SAVE MONEY, register in advance. On-site registration will be available at $100.00 for the first class and $50.00 for each addition class, if not sold out. ***** We strongly urge everyone to Pre-Register as we are limiting registration to a total of 400 classes.

 

Racers registration includes one weekend pass for the driver (Do not laminate your 2 day passes),  all additional tickets for parents, family and friends will need to be purchased below.1 general parking pass is also included.

Important Event Information: After completion of your entry, go back to the registration page for participant information, download and print maps and lodging linformation before coming to Harrisburg. It could make your Motorama visit less stressful.

Though the focus of Motorama is motorsports, there is an entire community of RC racers who share the same goal, to bring home first place. Although they aren't 1:1 scale vehicles, racers bring everything they have to conquer tough courses and extreme challenges. RC racers dedicate their time and hard work by continuously tweaking and tuning their rides to ensure they have the best vehicle.
