Motorama U.S. Scale Trials Championships Hosted by RECON G6

Welcome to Motorama, the largest all indoor motorsports event in the Nation and home to the U.S. Scale Trials Championship

Drivers compete on an indoor course that features various driving obstacles with the least amount of penalties in the quickest amount of time to be crowned the U.S. Scale Trial Champion in their respective class.

 

Classes:

ST Class -  Tire size not to exceed 4.20in / 107mm and must be a licensed scale tire replicated after a full-size tire. All vehicles are required to have a driver and 3D interior, plus all the required scale items (listed below). Tires must be covered a minimum of 50% by the body/fender flares.

STL Class -  Tire size not to exceed 4.20in / 107mm and must be a licensed scale tire replicated after a full-size tire. All vehicles are required to have a driver and 3D interior, plus all the required scale items (listed below). Tires must be covered a minimum of 50% by the body/fender flares.

Open Scale Class - Tire size not to exceed 4.75in / 120mm and must be a licensed or scale replica after a full-size tire. No comp tires allowed or cut-n-shut tires.  All vehicles are required to have a driver. Interiors can be 2D or 3D, plus all the required scale items (listed below).

Extreme Scale Class - Tire size not to exceed 4.75in or 120mm. Tires may be licensed or a scale replica of a full-size tire. No comp tires or cut-n-shut tires. Siping and/or removing lugs is approved. Vehicles must have a driver. Interiors can be 2D or 3D. Scale items will be required (Listed below).

Unlimited Buggy Class - Tire size not to exceed 4.75in or 120mm. Wheel size not to exceed 1.9. Tires may be licensed or a scale replica of a full size tire. No comp tires or cut-n-shut tires. Vehicles must be a full tube chassis or tubed off of frame rails. Vehicles must have a driver and cockpit. The only required scale items for this class are a fire extinguisher and cow bell. 

 

Required Scale Items for ST & STL Class.

Side Mirrors on the driver & passenger doors. Mirrors must be mounted for the start of every trials course run.

Windshield with windshield wipers.

A scale gas can, mounted to the vehicle or in the vehicle.

A scale first aid kit must be kept in the vehicle always.

A scale fishing pole mounted in the truck.

The Provided U.S. Scale Trials Sticker placed on either door(s) or hood of vehicle.

Motorama vehicle inspection sticker placed on lower driver side windshield.

Bonus Item - A scale & 1:1 reflective safety vest.

Bonus Item – Scale working Cowbell mounted under the rear bumper of the vehicle.

A scale gas can, mounted to the vehicle or in the vehicle.

A scale first aid kit must be kept in the vehicle always.

The Provided U.S. Scale Trials Sticker placed on either door(s) or hood of vehicle.

Motorama vehicle inspection sticker placed on lower driver side windshield.

Bonus Item - Scale bullhorns mounted to the front of the vehicle.

 

Classes are limited to 100 vehicles per class.

Show & Shine categories are “Best in Show”, “Most Trail Ready”, Best Interior, & Best Engine Bay.

The top drivers in each class with the least amount of penalties will advance to Championship Sunday.

 

Course Intel

The U.S. Scale Trials course is made up of varied terrain conditions and obstacles, featuring mud, a creek with waterfall, & sand. The course is marked with wobble gates and boundaries. Drivers are penalized for touching them.

 

Schedule:

6pm U.S. Scale Trials Championships begin. The running order for competitors is open. First to come, first to run.

 

Friday 

3pm to 9pm – Drivers Early Check In / On site registration. Drivers can set up their pits in the approved pit area. First come, first served for pit locations.

9:30 U.S. Scale Trials Championships start.

Directions / Intel:

Pits with Power are available.

Drivers must bring their own tables & chairs. First Come, First Serve on Pit Locations. Team / Sponsor Banners can be hung in your pit area.

Lipo Batteries must be charged in a lipo bag.

 

SAVE MONEY, register in advance. On-site registration will be available at $100.00 for the first class and $50.00 for each addition class, if not sold out. On-site registration is only available on Friday.

 

Racers registration includes one weekend pass for the driver (Do not laminate your 2-day passes), all additional tickets for parents, family and friends will need to be purchased below.1 general parking pass is also included.

Important Event Information: After completion of your entry, go back to the registration page for participant information, download and print maps and lodging information before coming to Harrisburg. It could make your Motorama visit less stressful.

Though the focus of Motorama is motorsports, there is an entire community of RC racers who share the same goal, to bring home first place. Although they aren't 1:1 scale vehicles, racers bring everything they have to conquer tough courses and extreme challenges. RC racers dedicate their time and hard work by continuously tweaking and tuning their rides to ensure they have the best vehicle.
